Messina Records is an American record label based in Orlando, Florida owned by Messina Productions, Inc.
Company History
Messina Records was formed by Scott A. Messina in 1993 and was launched in the Washington DC Area as a branch of Messina Productions, Inc. The name was inspired by the founders last name.
In the late 80's / early 90's, Scott worked with L.U.V. Records, an independent label which briefly became a subsiderary to Pow Wow Records, credited for originally signing Foxy Brown and other hip hop artists. Through this experience, he learned about audio engineering, songwriting, artist development, artist managementand the music business in general.
Scott Messina's next musical venture was working with Mattie Taylor, President/ CEO of Van McCoy Music - "The Hustle", "Baby I'm Yours" and hundreds of other classics. Scott archived over 700 songs that Van had written and no one had ever heard.
In 1996 Scott was awarded his first big corporate contract to write original score for PEPSI USA, "Drink Pepsi, Get Stuff Promotion" where he won a songwriting award from ASCAP. From that came a musical contract to help introduce Finlandia Vodka into the USA. Corporate clients enjoyed his musicalcreations and work ethic. Jingles and original scores seemed a hot item for Messina Records. These great opportunities set the platform and helped Scott to branch out and develop/promote his own line of up and coming artists.
Starting in 2002, Scott developed a secondary independent record label (Love Me or Leave Me, LLC) with recording artist Tierney Allen. After producing their first CD, "With All That I Am," Tierney hit the airwaves on smooth jazz radio stations nationwide, gaining momentum and repsect. Tierney became one of Walt Disney's premier vocalists, opened for South African sensation Johnathan Butler, and was invited to sing the National Anthem several times for high profile NFL and NASCAR sporting events: The Washington Redskins, Philedelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and the Dodge 250 (which aired on the Speed Network Live) all got a taste of what Tierney could do as millions got chills and became instant fans. Love Me or Leave Me, LLC is currently an active Independent Label.

Free from the authority of major labels, and capitalizing upon the technical revolution of digital downloads and promotion, Messina Records has uniquely found their marketing nitch. Through producing great original music and partnering with major music publishers and distributors such as MUZAK, Rumblefish, iTunes, CDBaby, The Harry Fox Agency and several more, this is an exciting time for this independent label...

We are excited about this awesome revolution and hope to gain enough respect so that in the near future a major company invites us to become a subsiderary," says Scott. With currently having a growing library of thousands of original songs in every genre imaginable, Messina Records is quickly making things happen through sync and mechanical licensing opportunities.
Messina Records up and coming artists are as follows: Piano sensation Krystof Srebrakowski, Rocker/Guitarist Frank Clarke (endorsed by PRS), Guitarist Brad Catron, Guitarist Steve Luciano, Keyboardist Chris Davis… Orchestral sensation Raul Valerly (Aliens).
One of the labels latest creations is a CD entitled, "Holloween Horror Music" (vol.1) composed by orchestral and piano sensation Krystof. In a very short amount of time, listeners of iTunes have spoken and we are very pleased to report record breaking sales for Q4 of 2007.
